Accompanied QZ to Queensway yesterday. We had our late lunch at a hawker centre there. I enjoy having meals at hawker centres a lot because the food are generally cheap and tasty! And I get to try different food!
We had prawn noodles, wanton mee, carrot cake, siew mai and ha gao(prawn).
Prawn noodles - Great tasty soup!
Wanton Mee - Still okay
Carrot cake - So-so...nothing very nice
Siew mai - just satisfactory
Ha gao - TERRIBLE!
Very much room for improvement I would say. Or maybe I just didn't know which stalls sell better food. As I was on the phone with him just now, he said he remember another stall that sells delicious wanton mee, and the shao la he tried last time was great too. WHY DIDN'T I NOTICE?
I remember during my IEP period with my group mates in poly, we need to travel to Kallang Bahru Childcare often and right below the centre was a hawker centre full of famous stalls with Channel U or other TV variety shows certified good comments. And I loved having my meals there trying different food stalls each time.
Similarly when I was working at Sis' office, we always had lunch at Golden Shoe hawker place.
OH MY GOSH!!!! I'M SO DEPRIVED OF GOOD AND CHEAP HAWKER FOOD!!!It's okay, I'll wait! He has agreed to accompany me to Queensway again during his week break and we are going to have lunch at the hawker centre, EATING GOOD FOOD! Speaking of which, after being together with him for years, we HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A HAWKER CENTRE TOGETHER FOR A MEAL BEFORE.
